THE WARRIOR CODE don't cry out for god, don't cry out for god, i am skin and bones The warrior code is a series of strict laws laid down by StarClan for all of the Clans to follow. While the exact code is not listed anywhere, it is clear to all Clans what the rules in the warrior code are. There are countless other laws in the warrior code. If warriors break this code, a punishment, whether it be from a duty involving caring for the elders to exile to even death, will undoubtedly result. The punishment depends on the severity of the broken code and the Clan leader themself. For example, if an apprentice had been caught eating during a hunting mission, they may be punished simply by not being allowed to take any fresh-kill for the rest of the day. Another example could be if a cat betrayed their Clan. The Clan leader may decide to exile them as proper punishment.
Here are a few of the rules of the warrior code that are currently known:
• • The Clan is to be fed before any individual cat.
• • The safety of the Clan is more important than that of any individual cat.
• • Each Clan has specific borders.
• • Prey is not to be stolen from another Clan's territory.
• • Clan borders are not to be crossed.
• • A Gathering lasts as long as the moon is highest in the sky.
• • There is a truce during the Gathering. Under no circumstances may the truce be broken.
• • Medicine cats may not fall in love nor have kits.
• • Cats may not fall in love with nor have kits with cats from other Clans.
• • Kits must be at least six moons old to be an apprentice.
• • Kits may not leave the camp without permission.
• • Kits may not learn to hunt until they are apprenticed.
• • No warrior may neglect a kit in pain or in danger, even if that kit is from a different clan.
• • Newly made warriors must sit vigil for their first night and guard the camp in silence.
• • Warriors may not kill in cold blood.
• • Warriors must show compassion.
• • A deputy must be chosen before moonhigh of the previous deputy's resignation or death.
• • To be a deputy a cat must have had an apprentice.
• • Warriors may not attack a medicine cat.
• • A warrior DOESN'T have to travel to the moonpool/highstones to become a warrior.
• • Cats have free passage to the Moonpool.
• • There may be no more nor less than four Clans in the forest.
• • Strangers should be driven from a Clan's territory.
• • Cats must show mercy to cats who ask for help.
• • A warrior rejects the soft life of a kittypet.
• • Warriors do not fight to kill; they fight to prove their strength and defend their territory.

BATTLE TECHNIQUES we are all lambs to the slaughter now, don't worry it will be over back kick: Explosive surprise move to catch opponent from behind. Judge opponent's distance from you carefully; then lash out with your back legs, taking your weight on your front paws.
belly rake [/b]: A fight-stopper. Slice with unsheathed claws across soft flesh of opponent's belly. If you're pinned down, the belly rake quickly puts you back in control. front paw blow[/b]: Frontal attack. Bring you front paw down hard on your opponent's head. Claws sheathed. front paw strike[/b]: Frontal attack. Slice downward with your front paw at the body or face of your opponent. Claws unsheathed. killing bite[/b]: A death blow to the back of the neck. Quick and silent, and sometimes considered dishonorable. Used only as a last resort. leap and hold[/b]: Ideal for a small cat facing a large opponent. Spring onto opponent's back and grip with unsheathed claws. Now you are beyond the range of your opponent's paws and in position to inflict severe body wounds. A group of apprentices can defeat a large and dangerous warrior in this way. Watch fro the drop-and-roll counter-move, and try to jump free before you get squashed. partner fighting[/b]: Warriors who have trained and fought together will often instinctively fall into a paired defensive position, each protecting the others' back while fending off an opponent on either side. Slashing, clawing, and leaping together, battle pairs can be a whirlwind of danger for attackers. play dead[/b]: Effective in a tight situation, such as when you are pinned. Stop struggling and go limp. When your opponent relaxes his grip, thinking you are defeated, push yourself up explosively. This will throw off an unwary opponent and put you in an attacking position. scruff shake[/b]: Secure a strong teeth grip in the scruff of your opponent's neck; then shake violently until he or she is too rattled to fight back. Most effective against rats, which are small enough to throw. A strong throw will stun or kill them. teeth grip[/b]: Target your opponent's extremities - the legs, tail, scruff, or ears - and sink in your teeth and hold. This move is similar to the leap-and-hold except your claws remain free to fight. upright lock[/b]: Final, crushing move on already weakened opponent. Rear up on back legs and bring full weight down on opponent. If opponent does same, wrestle and flip him under you. This move makes you vulnerable to the belly rake, so requires great strength and speed. [/div][/center]
