it was good that the thunderpath was old and now unused, or he would've been worried as he watched his apprentice from the sidelines. he hadn't followed her, but they happened to meet at the same crossroads. dovepaw began to venture out, but her mentor merely sat calmly with his tail tucked over his forepaws. he refused to step in unless she clearly needed help... she needed to fend for herself, which was the first lesson he wanted to teach any apprentice. brokenbone sat and stared for a while before a sudden cloud of dust wafting from the thunderpath went right up his nose.
his fur bristled, and he tried to hold in the inevitable, which only made it louder. "a-ah... aaaah... ah-chooh!"
