A U R Alightpaw
[/b] ; Aura thinks/dreams ; Aura does_____________
The she-cat's black fur glistened with water touched by the sun's gentle light as she surfaced from the warm, clear water, eyes wide with enjoyment. Aura, one of the Rescuer's leaders, was using a mainly ineffective method of catching fish, mainly out of enjoyment of the water. The gathering island was only foxlengths away, to ensure that Aura didn't get caught in a tougher current in the lake's deepest waters. She had spent a long enough time in RiverClan to feel at home in the water, but not quite enough to learn how to brave the deepest and most dangerous parts of the water.
She dove once more, her third eyelid spreading halfway across her eyes to provide extra protection from water. Aura kept her tail just barely above water, to let her know how deep she was, and quickly moved her paws so that she remained near the top of the water despite the relatively weak current trying to pull her down. A fairly large fish dashed by, and Aura, claws outstretched, snatched it up and surfaced, dropping it for a moment to gasp for air. It didn't sink in the quick moment Aura had used to breath, so she was able to snatch it once more. The small she-cat began the short swim back to the island, where she deposited her fish on a grassy bank near the hollowed out oak.
Her meal caught, the black cat calmly swam back towards the deeper water, about where she had caught the fish. It was a beautiful day, with warm sunlight, the lake clear and the water warm. A few RiverClan cats might swim in the lake on such a fine day, but they would probably stay by the shore. ShadowClan, ThunderClan, and WindClan probably wouldn't swim this far out unless they were spying or an apprentice on a dare, in which case Aura could rescue them, since they would almost certainly be in danger. Anything could happen, though- clan cats could be weird sometimes. The RiverClan that Lightkit had seen was simply a glorified version of the pile of dung that the clans really were, forcing cats out of the natural ways, not truly giving them freedom.
More than once, Aura had wondered what was going through their heads._____________
