RESCUERS INFORMATION
don't cry out for god, don't cry out for god, i am skin and bones
group objective sick and tired of the warrior code? do you wish to keep your individual goals intact while still living with a group? this is exactly what the rescuer cat group was founded on. the rescuers call for change and long to be freed of the restrictive binds of the warrior code. they try to run their group so that any cat can join, whether a clan cat or kittypet. there is no discrimination, no set of harsh rules to follow, and most importantly, no starclan.
detailed hierarchy there are first the two leaders. rather than just one leader and a deputy like clan cats, these leaders come in pairs. the pair must make decisions and pass them on to the rest of the cats to seize a vote. sometimes the decisions get overruled by the cats in the group.
next come the right paws. this is, once again, a pair of cats who take on the duty that a deputy would. they advise the leaders and try to help them make good decisions, and sometimes even attempt to put in their own decisions to a vote.
the healers are the equivalent to medicine cats. why have just one when you can have a whole army of healers to take care of the rescuers' needs? these cats are always well versed in medicine and herbology, of course.
the hunters are those who hunt prey for the elders and kits. after feeding the rest of the cats, they are then able to hunt for themselves. the hunter group is a voluntary position, but also a very honorable one.
the rescuers are the main cats of the group. their sole job is to take rescue missions from the right paws and help strays or clan cats in need. whether they're saving someone from a falling avalanche of rocks or trying to diplomatically stop a fight from breaking out, they are the ones who seem to be ever present when it comes to helping others... much to the clans' collective dismay.
the elders, injured, and kits are those that are helpless and cannot fend for themselves. these are the only cats that get food for free from the hunters. everyone else must hunt for themselves.
finally, there are the freeloaders. while it may sound harsh, these are the cats that prefer to live in the sanctity of a group while still keeping a loner lifestyle. they do everything by themselves and for themselves. they are not interested in the rescuer ideals, but enjoy the sense of security. sometimes these cats are looked down upon by the rest of the group.
group lifestyle as already mentioned, the rescuers pride themselves on cat individuality. this means all cats (except elders and kits, of course) are to fend for themselves. all the prey that is caught is not put into a "pile" -- rather, you catch things for yourself, unless you have volunteered to be a hunter. it is the sole duty of the hunters to take care of the elders and feeble that can't fend for themselves. leaders hope that this will help ease the communistic approach that they so venomously despise.
the rescuers live in an intricate oak tree. it is completely hollowed out and located on the outskirts of the gathering island. this is where their major base is, but it is not marked as "clan" territory. any clan cat is allowed to walk in, but few do. because of the difficulty in getting into the oak, much less navigating it, it deters most clan cats from even attempting to climb in.
there is no set schedule, ceremonies, or meetings that happen, although the leader pair might occasionally call an emergency meeting in case there is a disaster approaching.
